History

Earl and Mabel were married on October 4, 1941. 

MABEL

Mabel Dixon was born August 21, 1918, in Blackey, Letcher County, Kentucky. She was the oldest of four daughters of Pearl and Cora Dixon. Her sisters were Bernice, Opal and Grethel Dixon.

Grandmama Mabel was a junior. I found this yearbook in the room where the fire started at their farmhouse. The yearbook was burned some on the cover, and water damaged, but the inside pages are fine.

EARL

Earl Boggs was born on June 2, 1919, in Kings Creek, Kentucky, to Sam and Lucinda Caudill Boggs.

On the back was written:
"For my sweetheart and wife whom I love more than the world."

Earl Boggs as a senior at the University of Kentucky. He completed his degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1948 at nearly 30 years old after completing his duty in the Army.
